At the Cross Roads

Decisions, decisions, decisions. According to multiple sources on the Internet, the average amount of remotely conscious decisions an adult makes each day equals about 35,000.

In contrast, young children only make about 3,000 decisions each day. Oh to be childlike again! Certainly there is something to be said about the faith a child has in the decision-making of their parents and caregivers. Most of the time they just follow instructions because they know that mom and dad love them and have their best interest at heart.

There is a decision that many adults have put off for way too long and have a difficult time making today -- to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Most professions of faith occur in Christianity among children and students. Why? Because they have the capacity for childlike faith. Jesus said that's the only way to enter heaven.

"Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3-4)

You can trust God the Father because He loves you and has your best interest at heart. Some of you may be at the cross road of decision even now. If so, I want to encourage and urge you to abandon any pride that might be holding you back and receive the greatest gift known to mankind -- eternal life. Receive Jesus as Lord even now.

"Look, now is the right time! Look, now is the day of salvation!"
(2 Corinthians 6:2b)
