Fit Together

This old cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains is a beautiful example of being fit together in such a way that no screws or nails are necessary. Even the weight of the structure itself helps to maintain that snug fit.

This is a picture of how God wants His church to operate. You will notice that every log and cut is a little different, yet fit perfectly together by the woodsman who uniquely designed and shaped it to uphold the next addition. If not, the structure would collapse.

Every follower of Jesus, although very differently shaped, is fit together in the body of Christ to uphold one another so that God's church can be built up and sustained. If each part is not lovingly performing the responsibility for which he or she was designed then the church becomes "structurally impaired," cannot grow, and may even find itself on the verge of collapse.

Under His (Jesus Christ) control, the whole body is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfill its function; this is how the body grows and builds itself up in love. (Ephesians 4:16)

We have a common purpose and mission. We are instructed to
encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13) and work together for the truth. (3 John 8)

Jesus fit us together and He is the master builder! Now, trust his design and serve the purpose for which you were shaped.
