The Prayer Bridge

To me, life seems to be a series of crossings. From cradle to the grave we are passing over one challenge to the next. Crossings are not age specific and include all people, all races, all socioeconomic statuses, and all languages.

If asked, each one of you could relay stories of crossings that you just made, are currently making, or are anticipating. Although each challenge, obstacle, pain or difficulty is different, the bridge across it is the same - PRAYER.

I believe in the power of prayer because I believe in the God Almighty who knows no challenges, no obstacles and no barriers. Nothing is impossible with God. He may not always answer the way we desire, but He always walks the road with those who reach up for His hand of compassion.

When Jesus spoke the words found in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours," He was not just saying something to make us feel good. He was not proclaiming to be a magic genie in a bottle. He was speaking of the raw, dynamic power of words uttered in faith. Our words working through The Word (Jesus) can change lives and move mountains.

"All things are possible with God.” (Matthew 10:27b)

So, pray for people specifically and intentionally through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let people know that God's got their back and that you are lifting them up. It DOES make a difference.
