Put Away Your Sword

Sometimes we just need to put our weapons away. We are frequently our own worst enemy. Rather than destroying one another, we should seek opportunities to overwhelm one another with acts of love and words of affirmation.

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. (Galatians 5:14-15)

"Love" is the motivation behind how God desires for us to treat one another. So put away those swords (words) that pierce the soul and guns (actions) that wound the human spirit. Instead, offer an open heart, open hand, open ear and open mind to someone in need of God's love. Be the difference in someone's life today.
