Coverings

This big, beautiful tree is found in Pigeon Forge, TN across from the Old Mill. All summer long it has provided shade for passersby as well as those waiting outside for a seat to be available at local restaurants. Often times there are people gathered in seats under this majestic specimen listening to people playing music and singing.

But, as you can see, the leaves are changing color from green to yellow and orange. Soon they will fall off as the winter season arrives, but then the shade will no longer be needed for it will be cold and people will instead seek the warmth of the sun rather an escape into the shade.

It reminds me of God's grace. It is sufficient for every occasion and covers me when I need it the most. And all I need to do is ask.

The writer of Hebrews says, "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." ~Hebrews 4:16

There are many in Texas and all over mourning the loss of friends and family at this senseless church shooting. Please petition God for His grace and mercy on all involved--they need it most right now.
