Like the Morning Fog

As the morning light filled the fog-blanketed valley of Cades Cove, one could not help but observe and soak in its marvelous beauty. As we drove around photographing this spectacle of nature, we realized that it would last but a short time because that warm sunlight was burning off that layer of spirited moisture in the air so we needed to get all the photos in that we could.

James was inspired to write, "How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone." ~James 4:14

Just as we sensed an urgency to make the most of every moment that we had with the fog, we also ought to make the most out of every moment and opportunity we are given to demonstrate love for our Lord and our neighbor. Worry less about tomorrow and concentrate on the here-and-now and those whom God places in our path -- for tomorrow never comes and opportunities to be a blessing slip away as quickly as the morning fog.
