Be a Sonfollower

Scientists have answered a burning question central to the charm of sunflowers: Why do young flowers move their blooms to always face the sun over the course of a day? The researchers found that the plant's turning is actually a result of different sides of the stem elongating at different times of day. Noted in the study:

"The higher growth rate on the east versus west side of the stem during the day enables the shoot apex to move gradually from east to west. At night, the higher growth rate on the west side culminates in the apex facing east at dawn."

A plus to this ability to turn is that pollinators are more attracted to flowers that follow the sun because they are warmer... and bees and butterflies like warm flowers.

The sunflower is a good example of how a Christian ought to respond to The Light - Jesus. We ought to follow Him wherever He leads. The warmth we give off as a result of basking in His presence should be attractive to those who are looking for spiritual nourishment.

[Jesus] said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Be a Sonfollower. Have the light of life and you will "bee" attractive to those seeking God as well.
