Consider the Raven
Sometimes when Sharon and I have been out looking for wildlife in the Rockies or the Appalachians I've kidded that the only critter I've seen for hours is a raven... as if it had less value in the animal kingdom than any other bird, mammal or reptile. And honestly, crows are so common in the South that this just looks like an overfed version of that garden pest with the annoying "Caaw! Caaw!"
However, the Bible just happens to mention them specifically in several places and God used some to feed His prophet Elijah while out in the desert. I can't help but believe they were annoying pests during the centuries that the Bible was written as well, but notice how God cares even for them.
Luke 12:24
Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
Think about that... if God cares for the raven enough to ensure it has food to eat and a place to sleep, then how much more does He care for His prized creation -- human beings?! Incredibly more!
And while it it true that many of us are annoying too, God looks beyond that and sees the heart of each individual and desires to spend eternity with us if we only believe and receive His Son, Jesus.
