Morning Has Broken
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass
Mine is the sunlight
Mine is the morning
Born of the one light Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's re-creation of the new day
There is nothing like a sunrise experience to get your day off in the right direction with your focus on God's glorious display and reminder that all things are made new -- new opportunities, new challenges, new insights to learn, and new ways to praise Him.

Interesting Note: While Cat Stevens made the song popular in 1972. "Morning Has Broken" is a popular and well-known Christian hymn first published in 1931. Words were written by English author Eleanor Farjeon to the Scottish tune "Bunessan." The familiar piano arrangement on Stevens' recording was composed by Rick Wakeman, a classically trained keyboardist best known for his tenure in the English progressive rock band Yes. And now you know the rest of the story.
