Reminders and Promises

Just as the rainbow is a reminder of God's faithfulness and salvation, the blood moon is a reminder to me of His judgement and second coming. I love the verse that follows the one in the picture:

And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21)

Yes, Jesus is coming again just as surely as He came 2000 years ago. He is patiently waiting for people to turn their hearts to him in repentance and faith. He wants no one to perish or be eternally separated from Him... so He waits.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

So as you observe the occasional blood moon, remember the Lord and His promise to come again. Your eternal security and home in heaven is but a call away... no cell phone required.
