As It Was In The Days Of Noah

One might argue that the days we are living in are such as in the days of Noah. Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." (Matthew 24:37

So, what was it like? How bad could things have been that God would decide to destroy all humans with the exception of eight? Check it out...

Genesis 6:5
The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

Yet, while Noah built the ark for decades, the people ignored his words of warning regarding approaching judgment and probably scoffed and jeered as he persisted in this incredible project. The people kept on living their normal lives -- eating, drinking, marrying, working, socializing, etc. without any thought toward a holy God who is also the righteous judge of mankind.

Matthew 24:38-39
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Is it possible that we have become to accustomed to the evil in this world that it just seems "normal" and that we go on living as if Jesus is never coming back? If that's the case then we had ALL better get on our knees with a repentant heart, humble ourselves before a merciful God, and live obediently for Him.

"As it was in the days of Noah"... yes, that could be today. The clouds are gathering. Are you paying attention?
