Bloom Where You Are Planted
The higher elevations of Rocky Mountain National Park experience spring long after most places in the United States. These beautiful lupines wait patiently for the "warmer" weather to arrive in June so they can bloom profusely, even as winter's snow continues to melt around them.
This is a great example for us to "bloom" where planted. We might not always have a choice WHERE we live, but we do have a choice HOW we live. Be a generous person. Look for opportunities to be a blessing to others. You may be the instrument of refreshment and revitalization that God will use to encourage a cold, bankrupt and thirsty soul.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)
These lupine wildflowers would bloom even if no one noticed but God. You should seek to be a blessing to others whether you ever get a thank you or not, for you will be richly rewarded by God through your generosity and your heart will be refreshed in doing good.
