Are You on the Right Track?

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death.

Proverbs 14:12

We set off in life in our late teens or early twenties thinking that we have all the answers. We also have great dreams and ambitions for our future. We envision the perfect family, the perfect job, the perfect house and car. The problem with these visions is that God is nowhere to be found. Our focus is or has been on me, myself and I.

It's quite possible that you have even obtained many of the things you set out to accomplish and acquire, and while they may bring temporary happiness they will not provide eternal joy -- that can only be found in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said...
"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10:10)

"These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." (John 15:11)

"Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." (John 16:24)

Are you on the right track? Look around you. Does your life feel empty? Do you have genuine joy in your life or was hope for that abandoned a long time ago? God is only as far away as you choose to make Him. He wants to lead you down the path of true life, joy, peace and fulfillment.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
