The Rest of the Story
Above is the "after" photo. Below is the "before" image for comparison.
The original image was taken with the sun in the background and the truck appeared very dark against the lighter sky. There were power lines in the image as well. It certainly was not a wall-hanger, but I had a vision for what it could be after a little HDR and SPE enhancements.
That's how God sees us too. Yes, we look a little rough at first and darkness (sin) characterizes our life, but He sees the potential we didn't even know existed. WHEN you give your life to Jesus THEN He will make you new from the inside out. He gives you a full restoration.... even better than Photoshop. And not long afterwards, even the world around you is changed for the better because of your new appearance and the impact your renewed (reconciled) life has on those you know, meet and love.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ.
If you are reading this and already know Jesus as your Lord and Savior but you still think you've got a long way to go, then please realize that for some of us the restoration may take a little longer than others. In fact, truth be known, it goes on for a lifetime for ALL of us. For while we may be given a new life on the inside, there may still be some rust that needs to be buffed off on the exterior.

The Bible refers to that improvement stage as sanctification -- the process of being set apart for a special purpose or work; to be made holy. My prayer for you is the same that Paul prayed for the believers in his day...
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
